EPS-branchens tyske søsterorganisation, EPSY, er gået offensivt ud for at fortælle om genanvendelse af EPS-emballage i Tyskland. For også i Tyskland florerer myten om, at EPS ikke kan genanvendes – og det er selvom ca. 50% af EPS-emballagen i Tyskland indsamles og genanvendes.
I artiklen (som er på engelsk) kan man bl.a. læse: “The recycling rate for airpop packages is around 50 per cent in Germany (Conversio study) – an exemplary result compared with the rest of Europe, and one that is being successively extended. The industry is working hand in hand with all participants in the value chain on solutions for the small volumes from the yellow sack scheme that are not yet recycled.”
